Poster preparation

General info about posters

  • Make sure to include your title (the same as the title of the abstract), author names, and affiliations at the top of the poster.
  • Poster boards format is 98 cm (width)* 148 cm (height) and will be organized by poster number. You will find your number in the upcoming email from the congress organisation and in the conference app.
  • The poster board surface is textile, and posters will be mounted with pins. Pins will be provided by the congress organizers onsite.

Design tips for your poster

  • Remember that your poster may be viewed from a distance of several feet, so font sizes should be large enough to easily read, and figures and tables should be kept as simple as possible.
  • Arrange your poster content as simple and clear as possible for an easier read.
  • Use large font size for the title, and smaller for author names and affiliations.
  • No need to reproduce your abstract in the poster.
  • Consider using simple and eye-catching illustrations and leave out unnecessary details. If possible, convert tables to graphic displays.
  • Make conclusions brief and clear.
  • Remember to add your contact details.

QR code

In addition to the traditional physical poster format, we strongly recommend including a QR code on your poster with a link to further details (e.g. the pitch of your poster, video material on Vimeo/YouTube or the like with a few PowerPoint slides with audio or a small recorded presentation in Zoom/Teams, a blog post, the project website etc.). This will allow a maximum outreach for your work.

You can find free QR code generators online (e.g. the generator built into Google Chrome).

  1. Add the URL of the website where you present further details of your study in the QR code generator
  2. Download the QR code as an image file
  3. Place the QR image on your poster

Remember to test the QR code image.
